Starfield

Todd Howard started out the presentation by officially revealing a brand new Starfield trailer and an official release date of November 11th, 2022. Starfield has also been confirmed to be exclusively for Xbox Series X/S, Windows 10, and X-Cloud, and certainly looks qualified to be an Xbox system seller to rival PlayStation exclusives.

Back 4 Blood

A brand new, visceral trailer for Warner Bros. and Turtle Rock’s all new spiritual successor of Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood aired during the Xbox show. The adrenaline-laced shooter will feature 4 player co-op and PvP modes. A release date sometime this fall was announced for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows 10, and X-Cloud. It will also be on Game Pass on its release day.

Contraband

Xbox Game Studios and Avalanche are teaming up for a brand new Xbox exclusive set in a co-op open world: Contraband. Not much else is known about the game as it is a new announcement, but stay tuned for updates. It will launch on the Series X/S, Windows 10, X-Cloud, and be available on Game Pass on day one.

Sea of Thieves and Pirates of the Caribbean

Disney, Microsoft and Rare have teamed up to bring characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean universe to Sea of Thieves. From the looks of the trailer, players will fight Davy Jones and fleets of enemy pirate ships in “an epic original story.” The best part is that the entire story is coming as a free update to the game as of June 22nd.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

The latest Yakuza game, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is officially on Xbox Game Pass starting today, June 13. This makes the Game Pass Yakuza collection a complete one, as every other mainline Yakuza game is already featured on the service.

Battlefield 2042

An all new military shooter, Battlefield 2042, finally has a trailer that aired during the showcase, promising full-scale, online wars. This has long been a dream of mine for a military shooter, and it is very cool to see it happen on the next generation of consoles. It will launch this October 22nd, 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC.

Twelve Minutes

Featuring the voice talents of James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe, Xbox has announced an interactive, story driven experience exclusive to the Xbox family of consoles and launching on Game Pass day one.

Psychonauts 2

A sequel to an original Xbox exclusive game, Psychonauts 2 is now almost 20 years in the making, but finally has a trailer and a release date. It will launch on August 25th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows 10, and on X-Cloud and Game Pass.

Party Animals

Featuring voice-over from the “Honest Game Trailers” guy, Party Animals looks like an odd, action-adventure game features cartoony animals. While it has already been out for about a year now on PC and PlayStation 4, it will launch in 2021 on Xbox One, PC, and Series X/S.

Halo Infinite Trailer

Halo Infinite received a new trailer with a quick look at its vastly improved world graphics. It is also confirmed that the campaign and the online multiplayer (which will be free-to-play) will launch together sometime this Holiday season for Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC.

Diablo II Resurrected

Launching on September 22nd, 2021 and optimized for Xbox Series X/S, Diablo II, the fan-favorite of the series, is coming back with Diablo II Resurrected. It will launch on Xbox One, PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch as well.

Age of Empires IV

Age of Empires has been teased for quite some time by Xbox, and it now has an E3 trailer. Boasting epic graphics and amazing real-time battles, it will release on PC and X-Cloud and be on Game Pass for PC on day one, sometime in 2021.

The Outer Worlds 2

While there is no official release date, we did get a hilarious trailer featuring slo-mo shots, lens flares, and chilling monsters that apparently won’t be in the final game. It will launch on Game Pass day one and be on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Forza Horizon 5

Arriving on Xbox One, PC, Series X/S and Game Pass on day one, Forza Horizon 5 promises a huge open world set in Mexico with tons of cars and diverse environments. It will release on November 9th of this year!

RedFall

An all new Bethesda Softworks title being released next year exclusively on Xbox consoles, RedFall’s trailer was a bit of an oddity, and not much can really be extrapolated from it other than two key things: there will be cults, and there will be vampires. Other than this, not much about the game is known, so stay tuned for updates.
